BILT EUR COMMITTEE
Speaker / Sponsorships ManagerRui Gavina is the BIM Manager of CCAD, a recognized Portuguese structural engineering firm with collaboration and management skills for multidisciplinary projects. He is leading the BIM implementation process and is also responsible for developing and introducing new and optimized approaches on the adopted BIM technologies. Rui has previously collaborated on one of the first Portuguese structural engineering firms to use Revit and embrace BIM collaborative processes. He always tried to push the software limits and enhance workflows, due to his curious nature and clear interest for innovation. Now he trains the engineering team on Revit and Dynamo, while managing and improving the structural content and standards.
Rui is one of the founders of the group ISEPBIM, a non-profitable BIM community related to the Polytechnic Institute of Engineering of Oporto (ISEP-IPP), focused on the promotion and dissemination of BIM in Portugal and creating a closer engagement between the academic environment and the industry. ISEPBIM has a driven team of professors, students and graduated students, nowadays working within the industry, determined to share their knowledge and connect with similar global communities. This was firstly accomplished in 2016 with an unprecedented partnership with BILT creating the “BIM Year in Portugal” motto.
Rui received a Bachelor and Master degree in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Engineering of Oporto (ISEP-IPP) and took a post graduate degree on Computer Aided Structural Design.

Region Manager, EuropeSilvia founded LRCZ in 2008 and is a founding member of the RTC Europe Foundation since 2012.
She first got exposed to the concept of BIM or integrated planning as a contractor for the emerging Revit platform in early 2007 and since then wholeheartedly embraces the vision on creating a better future for the generations ahead by extensively utilising unbiased collaborative thinking.
She is a free spirit and lateral thinker; combining industry knowledge, managerial assets and clear vision.
By doing so, Silvia has contributed to conferences such as RTC Europe and BILT Europe as well as influenced other industry related events, shaping the individuality of those.
Silvia inspires otherwise with her energy and drive - propelling the collaborative goal of integrated planning.
