Program ManagerNicholas M. Kramer, LEED® AP, is the Director of Design Technology for LPA Inc, a fully integrated practice focusing on all areas of the built industry based out of Irivin, California. He has been using Revit since version 8.1 on projects ranging from 400,000sf to 600sf and from medical to libraries to commercial and office buildings. Nicholas has actively run projects day to day as well as helped to implement Revit and new technologies along with the development of standards, processes and best practices for worldwide architectural companies. Additionally, he is currently working with some of the largest construction companies in the world to implement these practices and new technologies.
At LPA, Nicholas provides strategic direction for BIM and new technologies, spearheads the company’s research and development group and overseas the company’s Technology department. In addition to LPA, Nicholas is currently serving as the chairman for the South Coast Revit Users Group (SCRUG), has guest lectured on BIM and sustainability at UCLA, Autodesk University and other forums.
Speaker ManagerDesiree has been in the AEC industry since the1990s. After obtaining her bachelor's and master's degrees from University of California, Davis and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she perpetuated her nerdy tendencies with Revit. She started her career in California with a construction company, then with a structural engineering firm, and now is a practicing structural engineer and BIM Manager at Martin/Martin in Denver, Colorado. Desiree is a regular speaker at many conferences, she co-founded the Rocky Mountain Building Information Society, is the Chair of the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado's BIM Committee, served as an AUGI board member, Treasurer, and Vice President, and is a member of the BILT North America Committee. Finally, as if that is not enough Revit in her life, she is married to 'The Revit Geek' and acts as a partner in his BIM consulting firm, BD Mackey Consulting.

Director, Marketing and CommunicationsPhil Read is the co-founder of Read | Thomas - an AECO consulting group focused on connecting designers, builders and owners through cross-discipline and technology integration.
Partnerships ManagerMark has led BIM design and project delivery for multiple firms on projects ranging from retail interior projects to large-scale commercial towers throughout the world. It is his diverse experience and previous history working at the original Revit Technology Corporation that has enabled him to fully comprehend design method technology.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas and held an International Study Scholarship at Universität Dortmund in Germany. He studied Post-Graduate Architecture and International Studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. Mark is licensed in the State of Illinois, is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Mark is a Director at bKL Architecture as Technology Practice Leader.

Chairperson, BCS North AmericaRandall Stevens is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of software development, sales and management experience. Randall offers a unique combination of expertise in software and graphics technology, coupled with a degree in architecture. Randall founded ArchVision in 1991, a software development firm specializing in 3D graphics and content management technology for the design industry. He successfully led the company in the development of Rich Photorealistic Content (RPC) currently being used by customers in more than 100 countries. Through ArchVision, Randall built relationships with the industry's leading design visualization software companies including Autodesk and Bentley Systems.Randall received his B.Arch. from the University Of Kentucky College Of Architecture and served as an adjunct faculty member at the College of Design at the University of Kentucky from 1991-2007 teaching the use of Autocad, 3ds Max, Sketchup and Revit. He currently teaches entrepreneurship at the University of Kentucky College of Business.

Over the last 10 years with Studio A he has worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from small tenant renovations to 100,000 SF assisted living facilities. Steering CommitteeMike has over 20 years of technology sales experience within the building product manufacturer community. In 2006 Mike Co-Founded BIMWorld, a company focused specifically on the development and distribution of BIM ready product models for the design community. In December of 2008 Autodesk Inc acquired BIMWorld as the foundation of the now well know Autodesk Seek content platform. Mike’s team lead the sales strategy to bring Seek to market. In April of 2013 Mike Co-founded Global Product Data, developing applications for building product manufacturers and the audiences they serve.
GSBS ArchitectsMelissa has been with GSBS Architects in Salt Lake City, Utah since 2005. Early on she helped the firm transition from AutoCAD to Revit and has continued her role there as BIM Manager, continually looking for better ways to do things. She has worked on projects for clients ranging from higher education and commercial to hospitality and justice. In her spare time she has taught classes in both AutoCAD and Revit at Salt Lake Community College, was a co-speaker at RTCna in 2014, participated in Autodesk Inside the Factory events in Boston and Shanghai, and has sat on local college program advisory committees as well as being involved with the local RUG.

David Haynes (Chairperson)
ChairmanDavid is a Registered Architect and Project Management Certified Professional at Ideate, Inc. A graduate of the University of Arizona, he has worked as an Architect, contractor, developer and as the Corporate construction manager for a national retailer. Before joining the team at Ideate, he had his own successful architectural practice and was President of a commercial design–build construction company for 15 years.
David’s role at Ideate is to provide thought leadership insight to AECO companies worldwide. Dealing with the largest of Ideate’s customers to bring business transformational change to the design, build, operate process. Serving on the executive management team at Ideate, David is involved in strategic decision making both internally and externally. David’s recent focus has been on driving the information and data customers are using to make informed business decisions.
David brings many years of experience with data in the AECO industry to the table and in 2015 received a Certificate in Data Visualization from the University of Washington
Committee Member, Data DayTammy Adolf is an Associate in in Stantec’s Vancouver office who specializes in Integrated Design Data Management and project processes. She has worked in the AEC industry for 13 years, with a focus on project processes, procedures, and information. Tammy has spent most of her career focused on large P3 and Design-Build Healthcare projects throughout Canada. As part of the corporate Digital Practice Team, Tammy helps oversee data standards and the implementation and use of various tools to aid in project data management and to help project teams leverage BIM.
Affiliated Engineers, Inc.Mr. Hanif is currently leading the computational design efforts at Affiliated Engineers. The range of practice for this team is focused on (but not limited to) process mapping, application development and data analysis. Mr. Hanif is technology enthusiast with a mechanical degree and is a registered professional engineer in multiple states.
Chairman DTSRobert works for Stantec out of their Boston MA office. As a member of the Buildings Group Digital practice team Robert is a key leader in the adoption, implementation and support of new processes and technology throughout the organization. Currently his key responsibilities include: management of custom software development, management of the migration and integration of Design Technology for individual acquisitions, interactions with key technology vendors, liaison with the IT group for configuration and deployment of software and collaboration technologies as well keeping pace with general technology trends and future tech. In the past Robert has worked on a variety of building design projects of various scales and at all stages. He has also spoken at a number of events and conferences over the years, including Autodesk University RTC NA & EUR (now BILT), BIMforum in addition he writes from time to time for various blogs and publications. When not running around the globe and helping teams he enjoys his family (wife, daughter, son) and particularly likes to ski, swim and bike. Committee Member, DTSCraig Barbieri is an international Design Technology leader and drives the use of technologies to enhance the practice of design and construction. With more than 15 years of experience with information modelling in practice, management, and leadership he has managed some substantial advancements in the use of design technology. Craig has broad insight into the challenges AEC BIM firms face. He has played a key role on the success of some of the largest and most complicated BIMs ever created and the first Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) project in New England. He is an advocate for maximizing the potential of current and new technologies on projects and monitors the effective use of the benefits BIM provides.
Craig holds a Masters of Architecture and Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Business from the University of California. He is an associate member of the AIA.
Committee Member, DTSRobert Yori explores innovative uses of technology to better design, visualize, and deliver projects. He works at Oldcastle, Inc as part of the Digital Engineering team - a technologically-oriented R&D group tasked with identifying strategic technologies, process improvement, software development, and other initiatives.
He has provided consulting services to in the architectural, construction, development, and product manufacturing fields, and, in architectural practices, led Knowledge sharing, big data analysis, and computational design literacy efforts. He also led a team responsible for technology-related R&D, strategic guidance to project teams, and designing and delivering learning curricula. Prior to focusing on technology, he designed and delivered architectural projects in the commercial, institutional, retail, and interior markets.
Robert has taught at New York University and the New York School of Interior Design, and has lectured extensively, including at the AIA Conferences, Autodesk University, RTC, BIMForum, and ACADIA. He was the AIA’s 2016 Technology in Architectural Practice Chair, and led the organization’s 2017 Innovation Awards.
Committee Member, DTSChris is the Director of Design Technology at TreanorHL and has been implementing BIM, Revit, and digital best practices across TreanorHL’ s multiple offices since 2007. Chris has approached the advancement of BIM in his firm by helping Project Management adopt a workflow that enhances the design process and creates a mentoring environment that information travels from Project Manager to young architects and young professionals are encouraged to continually challenge the past norms of traditional project management by utilizing current technology trends.
Chris leads the Professional Practice Leadership Team at TreanorHL as well as championing the BIM/Revit committee. Chris has been involved with multiple BIM projects ranging from the small to large complex facilities. Chris has been active with Design Technology Summit since 2014 and earned a Masters of Architecture from The University of Kansas in 2009.
Committee Member, DTSFrom the beginning of his career in architecture, Brad Novak has been a leader in CAD / BIM / IT management and a specialist in technology standardization, bringing 30 years of experience weaving technology into the design profession. Starting with AutoCAD custom programming, through REVIT implementation, and now with software and hardware analysis and deployment, Brad aligns information technology goals, as the 10-year Director of IT at Goettsch Partners, with a focus on the design of beautiful buildings. He established these goals by assembling and leading teams of like-minded IT staff and consultants from Chicago to Shanghai to Abu Dhabi. The resulting synergy is an IT infrastructure with next-generation ideas, hardware, software, standards and problem-solving to support GP’s global reach.
