GenslerI received my Master degree of Architecture in University of Virginia in US and landed in Gensler DC office after graduation. I’m interested in parametric design and concerned with environmental issues and energy consumption by buildings. My goal is to combine the two aspects together. I was a grasshopper user and found Revit lacking capability to do responsive design and incompatibility between Rhino and Revit. In Gensler, I got the chance to know about Dynamo which enables the users to work on visual programming like Grasshopper. In 2016, the BIM managers of Gensler Southeast region-Mark Bassett and Adam Simmons-and I worked together on the research ‘Dynamo Tool for environmentally responsive façade’ and won the 2017 Gensler Research Award and Grant. In July of 2016, I was transferred to Shanghai office and have a great opportunity to work with the BIM manager Ryland Auburn to continue our research.
