RTC Committee

  Wesley Benn - Chairman
BD Group / RTC Events Management

Wesley is the founder and convener of the Revit Technology Conference series. As a long-term user and advocate of Revit, Wesley has been speaking and teaching in the field since starting to play with a pre-release version of the software.

The BD Group (www.bdgroup.net.au) incorporates BD Architecture (formerly Benn Design) - a full service architectural practice; BD Technology - a BIM training, implementation, content creation and process consultancy, and ADD, an outsourcing and BIM consulting team operating Australia-wide and internationally. Together with RTC Events Management, these parts together form a whole that touches on all aspects of the BIM ecosystem and offers our clients high level expertise and a truly encompassing service.

Projects have ranged from architectural design across multiple project types; to outsource documentation for other design and engineering practices; to BIM and technology management of major projects (up to $14 Billion) around the world. Wesley has worked directly with Autodesk on Revit development and implementation, builds Revit content for manufacturers and end-users, and has implemented Revit and other BIM tools into well over 300 practices throughout South-East Asia.

Wesley is a regular speaker at events throughout Australia and overseas talking about technology, Integrated Practice, and facilities management; he founded (and chaired for 5 years) the Revit User Group, Sydney; is an occasional speaker and design jury member at UNSW, and is desperately trying to remember "the safe place" he stashed his family and home life in...
