Data Day 2018: New Lab Announced

We are well along with registration of attendees for Data Day 2018 on Wednesday August 8, in St Louis MO. We are also proud to announce the replacement of one of Lab’s which will cover even more data for you!

Thanks to those who have registered, we look forward to welcoming you soon!  If you have not registered and think you should be there – you can register for Data Day Only or add Data Day to your BILT registration by ticking Data Day in your agenda selection. (See links below)

We have a broad range of topics to be presented. These topics include:

  • The Recipe for Successful Data Play
  • Collecting Data with Arduino’s and Raspberry Pi’s Start to Finish
  • Deconstructing Databased Workflows for Room Data
  • BIM isn’t BIG DATA Yet!
  • Mission Control – Analyzing User Behavior or Revit Projects

We also have two great labs that will be presented.

Firstly, we have the infamous Carl Storms who will present his class, Dynamo – Everyone’s Doing It – Vol 3. Attack of the Data, however this Lab is NOT for Dynamo pro’s, but for the Dynamo novice looking to expand their skills, and do more with their data. In this session, we will learn how to manage and manipulate data from a Revit file with Dynamo. We will also learn how to use Dynamo to help us add data to a Revit model from another source, like excel. A class that has already been tried and tested on our data geeks at BILT ANZ to rave reviews. This is definitely not a lab to be missed.

Not interested in Dynamo? or need a bit more data? We also have the amazing David Haynes and Arif Hanif who’s Lab, Starting the Visualization Journey, will be split into two 45 minute lab sessions. They will present on Power BI – a Microsoft Office 365 product and how to understand how to start data visualization. This lab is designed for beginners who do not have Power BI experience. To continue the visualization, the second session will look at the basics of Python and how to use it to analyze, visualize and present data. it will also include a primer on seaborn.

Already registered for Data Day – you can book into your Lab Session Now – via Modify Registration – go to data day in your agenda and choose you lab.  Hint: Hurry there are limited spaces.

These are all classes you will NOT find at BILT NA, but you can experience it at Data Day!

A great set of topics that will no doubt stimulate conversations and new learnings. Data Day will also conclude with a panel discussion to explore the future of data within the AECO industry.

Come join us.
