Introducing DBEI

Just as RTC is entering a transitional phase into becoming the BILT Conference, so is the organisation. Or at least so in Asia.

To complement our mission to be an independent voice in the industry representing an expert community of BIM professionals and to be the global leader in BIM/VDC education; we decided that we needed to be a not for profit organisation that is run “by users, for users”. Our leadership remains as strong as ever with Wesley Benn as the Chairman of the Asia organising committee and Phil Lazarus (Lendlease) at the helm with Nigel Ford (Atlas) and Richard Kuppusamy (WOHA) supporting this effort.

As such we have formed the Digital Built Environment Institute (DBEI).
DBEI is now the official organiser of the BILT Asia event starting with our inaugural event of the 2017 calendar in just under 60 days time.

In addition to the BILT Asia conference; DBEI will be conducting a program of local events, seminars, and workshops throughout the year in Singapore to continue our efforts to advance BIM/VDC through a greater understanding of people processes and the technology. Our not-for-profit community comprises of thought leaders, technology implementers, practitioners and end users. We believe that those who work daily within the AEC industry are best placed to train others in the critical knowledge and skill sets required to excel in our industry.

As BIM adoption is rapidly advancing through the AEC industry in Asia we aim to branch out our activity and bring events closer to your home. Reach out to us. We hope to work with you to grow our community, shape the future of the AEC industry, and create a more sustainable built environment.

PS. We know leaving things to the last minute is an industry norm. :)
Well the last minute is nearly upon us. There just 24 hours left to use our special Chinese New Year promotional single registration code (CNY1888). Don’t leave things too late. You won’t want to miss out on the inaugural BILT 2017 event at the Marina Bay Sands.
