BILT Asia 2017: Funding Schemes for Singapore

BILT Asia 2017 is about 100 days away and it’s time to get serious about registration. If you are working in Singapore, there are two funding incentive schemes you should know about.

First, the planning committee has worked hard to show the BCA the training value of our event in promoting and advancing BIM adoption. We are very happy to announce that our event will be considered as training under the BIM Subsidy scheme. There are 3 conditions*:

  1. The event can only be put as training against an existing and open BIM Fund Application. It should not stand-alone.
  2. The expenditure must be approved in the same way as any other cost in a BIM fund application. This means you have to contact the BIM Fund Admins immediately to get this sorted in time!
  3. The reimbursable is only for the registration, not accommodation, meals, or other expenses.

Second, the event can also be considered as training under the IRAS PIC scheme.  This means that registration for the event can yield either**:

  1. 400% Tax deduction/allowance for your business OR
  2. A 40% cash reimbursement

These schemes can bring the cost of registration down to almost ZERO!

THAT’S HUGE!

It’s time to get moving and start explaining to your boss why you need to be at BILT, and how it is going to cost them next to nothing.

I want you to get up now.  Get up out of your chair. Go to your bosses office and YELL…

I’M GOING TO BILT ASIA 2017 AND IT’S NOT GOING TO COST YOU A GODDAMNED DIME!
