For the past 40 years he has lead the development of technology and software that is used by engineers to design buildings and bridges that are earthquake resistant. A trained Architect with over 30 years of experience, Scott’s key responsibilities include the export, checking and validation of digital building models for 5D quantification. Scott applies his in-depth knowledge to develop new digital workflows of building data to streamline communication between architectural and engineering models to estimating software. With his broad and in depth knowledge of BIM and 5D, Scott is regularly invited to present and share his knowledge and expertise at various tertiary education and industry bodies. He has delivered presentations at Revit Technology Conferences throughout Australasia and has been a visiting senior lecturer for QUT over the last 4 years, teaching BIM collaboration photogrammetry. CADLearningHeidi Boutwell graduated from Mt. Hood CC in 1998 with an AAS in Civil Engineering Technology. Over the last 15+ years, she has worked as a Civil and Structural Designer, Drafter and Technician in the Civil Engineering world. In 2006 she became the first president of the NWUG Civil 3D AUGI User Group located in Portland, Or and later that year found her first love, teaching. She began teaching Autodesk Civil 3D 2007 to her fellow industry people while employed with a reseller. Heidi has presented several times at AU in the past. Currently she is the Infrastructure Content Manager of 4D Technologies and CADLearning. She trains individuals and companies on how to use many Infrastructure related programs from Autodesk such as Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking, InfraWorks 360, Map 3D, Navisworks Simulate, Navisworks Manage, Navisworks Freedom, Configurator 360, BIM Field 360 and BIM 360 Glue.
Sasaki AssociatesCarolyn Brown is a Junior Architect at Sasaki Associates. She joined Sasaki shortly after receiving her B.S/M.Arch from Roger WIlliams University in 2010. Over the past 5 years at Sasaki Carolyn has worked across disciplines, including Sasaki’s Campus, Urban, Interiors, and Landscape studios. At Sasaki, Carolyn has worked on projects at all scales, projects ranging from pavilions and interior fitouts to sports facilities and learning environments, where she led project teams in Revit documentation and project delivery standards.
BECKScott Brown a Senior Project Manager(Architecture) in BECK's Tampa office, brings more than 19 years of Architecture experience and 13 years of Revit experience to RTC. Over the past 8 years, Scott's primary responsibilities have been leading and training teams that are producing integrated Architectural and Interior design documentation in Autodesk Revit. Scott is also a member of BECK's Virtual Building Group, working towards improving the use of technology within Design, Documentation and Construction on IPD projects. Scott is well-known in the Architecture and Interior Design community as a leader in Building Information Modeling. Scott has spoken at previous RTC NA events, Autodesk University, CSI Southeast Conference and the Colegio De Arquitectos Y Arquitectos Paisajistas de Puerto Rico.
Autodesk - Product Development GroupHarlan is a Revit Product Manager with Autodesk focused on Architecture and Construction. Based in Manchester, NH, he has spent 9 years helping customers realize the power BIM in a variety of roles. SilmanTimon Hazell graduated from Missouri S&T as the 2010 outstanding senior with his B.S. in Architectural Engineering. He has been a Revit addict since 2007. Working at architecture, engineering, and construction firms gives him a broad foundation that he now puts to use at Silman, a structural engineering firm in Washington, DC. Projects on his desk vary from single-family homes to the renovation of a 160,000 sq.ft. Faced with critical deadlines and the need for efficiency, but lacking programming experience to write traditional add-ins, Timon searched for ways to optimize workflows. Armed with a curious mind and a few Dynamo intro classes, he delved into creating his first procedures. When he reduced a two-day task to an hour, he was hooked! He has now used Dynamo on nearly every project and been instructing dynamo classes by invitation in the DC metro area.

AxoscapeXavier's interest in UAVs started in 2013 after discovering the potential uses in construction, cadaster, and mapping projects. Shepley BulfinchKyle Martin works on residential development and student housing projects at Shepley Bulfinch where he specializes in design technology. He helped introduce Dynamo to the company and assists in the development and deployment of computational tools. Applied SoftwareMike Massey graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Architecture. He has 15 plus years of experience working as an architect. He is currently Senior AEC Application Specialist for Applied Software. Since joining Applied Software, Mike specializes in BIM implementation for architects and MEP engineers. In addition, Mike has been responsible for providing customer demonstrations, implementation, training and support for the Autodesk AEC products for architects, engineers, and contractors. DIALOGAs the National Design Technology Manager, Bruce provides direction for DIALOG as they continue on their path through the world of BIM and related technology. The evolution of process and workflow continues as new technologies and methods are introduced. Based in the Calgary studio, Bruce provides leadership and expertise to the BIM Managers and works directly with project teams as they continue to implement BIM on a variety of project types. Bruce is a member of the Board of Directors at Canada BIM Council and is the chair of the Designers Committee.
