Paul Doherty

Matthew Anderle

Mr. Anderle is the BIM Director for the Buildings+Places business line of AECOM with focus on the Americas. He is a BIM and technology evangelist with over 15 years of experience establishing global BIM workflows and standards around content, training, interoperability, and BIM consultation as a service. His experience spans over multiple market sectors with emphasis on large Healthcare facilities, Datacenters, Aviation, Government projects, and Residential. Mr. Anderle serves AECOM as a leader in the innovative and efficient implementation of BIM processes for a variety of project types. He manages and directs large project teams on inter-office BIM collaboration workflows, enabling continental offices to work as one entity.

Will Ayers

Legrand
As the Specification Marketing Manager for Legrand’s Electrical Wiring Systems (EWS) Division, Will Ayers manages the development and maintenance of all technical and specification resources for Legrand products installed in North American commercial and industrial facilities. His responsibilities also include the strategic marketing of this content, and insuring that these resources best meet the needs of Specifiers, Architects, Engineers, and Contractors to maintain a competitive advantage for Legrand. Will is also responsible for the development of Legrand’s North American BIM strategy and is actively involved in the assimilation of this strategy as it expands across Legrand business units throughout the world.

Jason Bailly

HDR Architecture
Jason Bailly is an engaging professional with a vast, well rounded skillset. He has spent the last twelve years immersed in the AEC industry where he has successfully crossed borders multiple times thereby proving his adaptability. He is driven by the desire to improve the experience of purveyors of design technology so that they can be unhindered in their delivery of inspired design.

As a member of the ‘Architecture Practice Innovation Core Team’ he oversees the implementation of the Digital Design knowledge and content strategy for  HDR Architecture. Having extensive experience in the development of standards, content requirements, and knowledge frameworks, Jason is also experienced in collaborating with HDR Corporate IT for the evaluation of new software and improving the company’s implementation of technology.
Jason is an active board member in the Portland Revit User Group, pdxRUG.

Jorge Barrero

Gensler / HKS
Jorge Barrero is a Senior Designer and Vice President with global architecture firm HKS. He has 18 years of experience in the field of architecture design, visualization, computation and
fabrication. Hi previous experience includes a role as a Senior Designer and Firmwide Digital Design leader for Gensler.  He has also served as adjunct faculty at Harrington College of Design teaching a digital design studio. 

He has been a word contributor for 3D World Magazine and his work has been published in the EXPOSE digital art book series. He has participated in various speaking engagements, most recently at the inaugural Design Visualization LIVE event at Autodesk University as well as Xconomy, CTBUH and Vray Days events.

His project experience is varied, ranging from aviation projects to high performance buildings. He continues to explore the process of design aided by digital tools and technology in order to
create a design solution that creates a better user experience for all.

Parley Burnett

UNIFI Labs
Parley is the Director of Product Management at UNIFI Labs.  While at UNIFI, he has successfully managed a large team of content developers and helped many manufacturers implement successful content strategies.  UNIFI, a cloud based BIM content manager, has recently become a key focus project for him as he is heavily involved in the platform’s product design.

Parley has always had a strong interest in building technology. With over 14 years of experience in the AEC industry he has had several highlights.  While obtaining his bachelors, he operated his own Revit consulting service and blog.  Parley has also spoken at Autodesk University, served as co-chair of the Building Content Summit event, and
teaches Revit at Montana State University. 

Amanda Comunale

Victaulic
Amanda Comunale joined Victaulic as Director of Construction Piping Services (CPS) in August 2014. In this role, Ms. Comunale is responsible for overseeing Victaulic’s global estimating, fabrication, BIM and construction technology initiatives that benefit and support Victaulic’s customers and its strategic growth objectives.
Ms. Comunale’s career has spanned both the private and public sectors. Prior to Victaulic, Amanda served as the Vice President of Operations Services for S. A. Comunale an EMCOR company, where she was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations such as purchasing, IT, safety, human resources, transportation and LEAN. It was there that she realized her passion for construction and how processes and technology are changing the industry.
Ms. Comunale has a distinguished history with numerous national and community organizations, including board service with the JATC for Local 219 and 120. She is also the Vice Chairman of the Stephen A. Comunale Jr. Family Cancer foundation, dedicated to providing gap financial funding to cancer patients and family members. She received a B.A. in Political Science from Union College in Albany, New York and her Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jose Fandos

Andekan
Jose Fandos is the founder and CEO of Andekan, a company dedicated to Revit content creation and management. Since 2008, Jose has led Andekan in providing Revit content services to major AEC firms, manufacturers, and software makers. Prior to founding Andekan, Jose worked as a CAD manager in the UK, where he led his firm’s adoption of Revit. He later served as co-founder and CTO of Broutek Ltd., a pioneering start-up in Revit content creation. Jose is considered one of the industry’s most knowledgeable Revit content creators, and is a member of the AEC (UK) BIM Standards Committee and the UK Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Breakout Group on Revit Content Standards. Jose lives and works in London, and can usually be found at meetings of the London Revit User Group.

Chris Fredi

Chris Fredi has promoted the idea of  technology as a design tool since beginning to practice architecture in 2005. Primarily working on large healthcare projects for national firms ZGF Architects and SERA Architects in Portland Oregon, Chris has acted as a design team member, BIM Manager and developed overall BIM strategies at multiple firms. Most recently at EOP Architects in Lexington Kentucky, Chris served as a design team member / project manager & firm-wide design technology lead bringing a valuable level of  understanding and interest in technology while continuing to work in healthcare while adding convention centers to his project repertoire.
 
Chris’ portfolio of work has billions of dollars in built & in progress projects including Randall Children's Hospital in Portland Oregon, Denver Children's Hospital in Aurora Colorado, The Collaborative Life Sciences Building & Skourtes Tower in Portland Oregon, the Net-Zero Energy ready Boone Army Aviation Hangar in Frankfort Kentucky, the Rupp Arena / Lexington Convention Center Renovations in Lexington Kentucky and the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville Kentucky.

Jeremy Harkins

Jeremy Harkins is the Director and co-founder of “ineni Realtime”, an innovative technology company focused on the development of the Realtime Visualisation Industry.

Jeremy is at the leading edge of real-time virtual technologies and has spoken internationally about 3D immersive environments, VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) for architecture, infrastructure and smart cities.

Working with Property Groups, Building Controls Specialists and Developers, Jeremy is aimed at commercialising and integrating new technologies into the Architecture, Planning, infrastructure and Construction industries.

His company has partnered with world leaders in building automation, integrated systems and business process management and is providing cutting edge visual solutions for some of the largest and most complex developments in the world.

With over 15 years of experience in Architectural Technologies including professional work, consultancy and Full-Time Academia, Jeremy has been a lecturer at an international university (UNSW) helping to educate industry in what can be possible, and is currently focussed on the rapid growth and positioning of “ineni Realtime” as market leaders.

Kevin Kochman

KCL
Kevin Kochman is the mastermind of KCL, a leading provider of software and technical solutions with a base in the international foodservice industry. With an extensive background and knowledge in computer technology and applications, his expertise also includes training, support, and development. Kevin is best known for the development, sales, and support of The KCL CADalog. From this solid foundation, KCL has launched into the areas of Revit, new Web technology and Mobile applications. Kevin is a native of the Chicago area (go Cubs!) and plays as much tennis as time allows.

Aaron Maller

Parallax Team
Aaron Maller is the director of Parallax Team, a full service Implementation Firm. He has been implementing BIM and Practice Technology at Architectural, Engineering, and General Contracting Firms across the country for the last ten years. Specializing in streamlining workflows and maximizing efficiency, he has become well known for his work in elaborate content libraries and templates.

While working with design professionals and construction professionals in unison, Aaron has focused his attentions on standardizing data protocols, and developing workflows around that data that allows design models to be fully leveraged downstream, having worked on many initiatives that were direct-to-fabrication from design content.

Many of these initiatives have meant elaborate workflows requiring multiple pieces of software to edit the design data, in efforts to maximize the efficiencies of all stakeholders in a projects design to operation lifecycle. To accomplish this, his efforts constantly focus on standardization and templating of content, and managing the ability to migrate or manipulate complex content, to meet varying requirements between different initiatives.

He is an avid contributor to the BIM community on the whole, volunteering at Revit Forum.org (as twiceroadsfool), as well as speaking at many events including Autodesk University, Revit Technology Conferences, and various users groups around the world.

John Moebes

John Moebes joined Crate&Barrel as the Director of Construction in 2006 where he manages all capital construction projects. Prior to that, he was an Associate Principal at Good Fulton & Farrell Architects in Dallas where he oversaw the firm’s development and use of workflow technology. John is recognized as a leader in the uses of Internet-based project management tools, Building Information Modeling, and digital document review to improve project performance. Having worked for Modern Continental Construction and Wholefoods Markets, John has experience in all sectors of the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry. John received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts and his Master’s Degree from the University of Texas.

Sarah Pirilä

Trimble
Sarah Pirilä has been part of Trimble for almost 10 years focusing on improving the quality, efficiency and intelligence of content used to create Building Information Models. She joined the SketchUp team last year and is working on the 3D Warehouse Content Developer program and also collaborating within Trimble to improve the way content flows through different design phases in the AECO industry. She has a background in structural engineering and worked for Trimble Solutions (Tekla) in Finland for the past 9 years in product management, development, engineering and also business development roles after graduating from Helsinki University of Technology with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.

Nathan Wood

Marcus Fich

Based in Aarhus, Denmark, Marcus Fich, is the Global Business Development Manager for pump manufacturer Grundfos’ strategic projects within Building Services. As a serial intrapreneur his mission is to make Grundfos the easiest pump company to work with through digital tools. At RTC 2016, he will share his perspective on the perceived challenges of providing a global BIM offering and how to overcome them. He is member of the BCS committee and is involved in organizations like ASHRAE and Europump. Being exceptionally passionate about all things digital, he has worked with innovation and incubation of new products and business models. He holds a Master of Science in Economics and International Business from Aarhus University’s School of Business and Social Sciences.

M. Dennis Knight P.E.

Mr. Knight has 42 years’ experience providing engineering, design and construction related services within the building industry.  He is active at the local, state and national levels with various professional societies to help develop sustainable, integrated building design guidelines.  A few of the organizations he  articipates in regularly include the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the BuildingSMART Alliance and ISO.  Nationally, as a member of ASHRAE, Dennis is a member of the Board of Directors, is a Distinguished Lecturer on the topic of BIM for the HVAC engineer and serves as the Chairman of the BIM Multidisciplinary Task Group and the Energy Modeling Specialty Conference Steering Committee. Prior to founding Whole Building Systems, LLC.

Mr. Knight was a principal at Liollio Architecture from January 2005 through December 2010. At Liollio Architecture Mr. Knight served as their Director of Technology, authored their project specifications and led their conversion from using 2D CAD based project design documentation methods to
providing project designs using BIM tools and integrated building design processes. Prior to joining Liollio Architecture he was an Owner and Managing
Member of both a local engineering company and a construction company for 23 years where he oversaw the evolution of project delivery methods from using
tee-bar and triangle to drafting machine to CAD and ultimately to BIM.  Mr. Knight is a co-author of the ASHRAE publication "Introduction to BIM" and is currently participating as a co-author of the proposed NIBS publication "National Owners' Guide to BIM."  He also serves as an expert on ISO TC 59, SC13, WG 11 - "Product data for building services systems model"  and WG13 -"Implementation of collaborative working over the asset lifecycle." He strives to facilitate the integration of each element and discipline required in a project, with consideration for the life-cycle costs and benefits related to those elements, so that
all the pieces and parts of a building work together in concert with each other and their surroundings. 

Chris Needham

Chris has joined AECOM as a Project Information Manager and BIM Lead, working as part of their BIM Advisory business. He works closely with clients to leverage BIM for their advantage, during design, construction and operational phases of their facilities. He's also becoming keenly acquainted with the application of BIM principles to large-scale infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining AECOM, he was the owner of C3 Consulting Solutions, implementing BIM processes and practices within AEC companies since 2005. He has assisted firms in organizational change efforts, systems analysis and design, training programmes and project delivery. Chris's strengths are in converting technical experience to tactical approaches, and communication.

He has worked on projects in both Australia and the United Kingdom, using his expertise to develop systems and processes for numerous organisations. Over the last nine years, he has helped firms understand and implement BIM methodologies, and is passionate about exploiting information management technology to its limits. He acknowledges that despite developments in technology, altering people's behaviour is the most crucial and often difficult part of change.

Chris has taught hundreds of industry professionals across Australia, and students at both RMIT and Melbourne University. He is a co-author of ANZRS (Australian & New Zealand Revit Standards), steering committee member of BIM-MEPAUS, served as BIM Management Plans working group chair for the AIA/Consult Australia BIM/IPD initiative and as past chairperson of REVIC (Revit Users Group of Victoria).
